As a link between the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Jianghuai ecological economic zone
Important transportation hubs
Integrated construction project of Yangzhou East Railway Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub
Highly anticipated
Recently, on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway (Northern Yangtze River Section)…
Construction site of Yangzhou East Railway Station section
4 SEMW TRD construction method machines join as a group
Building a reality for the accelerated development of the “Yangtze River Delta on Rails”.
Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway
It is part of the national “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway network
The main line of the “Yangtze River Corridor”
It is also an important part of the Yangtze River Delta economic belt
Yangzhou East Station serves as a key point on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu (Northern Yangtze River) High-Speed Railway.
Important Nodes and Hubs
It will become an important fulcrum for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
The integrated construction project of the Yangzhou East Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub for the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu (Northern Yangtze River) High-Speed Railway will include a new west station building, underground parking, bus and public parking lots, and a ground-level landscaped plaza. In the future, the Yangzhou East Station will achieve a longitudinal continuity between the new and existing station buildings, becoming a large-scale station building.
Once the entire project is completed and operational, Yangzhou East Railway Station will be more deeply integrated into the national high-speed railway network, further accelerating travel time to major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, enhancing the commuter capacity of external transportation, and further solidifying Yangzhou’s status as a regional transportation hub.
The total volume of TRD water-stop curtain required for the underground TRD water-stop curtain diaphragm wall project (Phase I) before the foundation pit excavation is approximately 46,700 cubic meters, with a total length of approximately 1,630 meters. The construction requirements are a wall thickness of 700 mm, an average wall depth of 41 m, a verticality of no more than 1/300, a wall position deviation of no more than 50 mm, a wall thickness deviation of no more than 20 mm, and no negative deviations in wall depth or thickness.
The project’s construction challenges lie in the presence of abundant quicksand in the strata, making equipment cutting difficult and prone to jamming the cutting box , significantly impacting construction. As a key national project, this necessitates high standards and stringent requirements for construction. To ensure smooth construction, the project team deployed four SEMWTRD method cutting machines , fully committed to the work, based on the geological characteristics.
In actual operation, the four machines shone brightly due to their superior safety, efficiency, stability, and cutting capabilities. The machines cut and excavate at a speed of 1.25 m/h, averaging 12-15 meters of wall per day , with each machine completing approximately 400 cubic meters per day. Operating continuously 24 hours a day , they effectively ensured the construction progress.
The equipment manager remarked:
“The geological conditions during this construction were very complex, consisting of quicksand, making cutting difficult and prone to drill jamming. However, the SEMWTRD equipment did not disappoint me. It was highly efficient and reliable, operating 24 hours a day without interruption with a low failure rate. With two shifts of staff, the quality of the wall was also very high, ensuring the stability and convenience of the construction process. ”
Upon completion of the construction project, it will promote Yangzhou’s integration into the Yangtze River Delta (“large triangle”) and the Nanjing-Zhenjiang-Yangzhou (“small triangle”), providing strong support for citizens’ travel, tourism distribution, and industrial development.
SEMW heavy equipment penetrated
More than just hard geological barriers
It also leads to regional coordinated development
A solid path to a prosperous future!
