Product Overview

The SEMW DBG Series Full Hydraulic Pipe Puller is auxiliary equipment for extracting steel casing in foundation drilling and cast-in-place pile construction. Designed to grip and pull casing during withdrawal operations, it can be used alongside full casing rotators, casing oscillators, or rotary drilling equipment according to the approved construction method.

Four models—DBG1300, DBG1600, DBG2100 and DBG2500—provide different casing size ranges and hydraulic pull-out forces. Choosing the correct model depends on casing diameter, embedded depth, ground resistance and available lifting and drilling equipment.

Pipe Pulling Operation & Site Application

After the required foundation drilling or concreting operations, the pipe puller grips the casing and applies vertical hydraulic pulling force. The extraction procedure must be coordinated with the casing design, concrete-placement sequence and site-specific method statement.

STEP 01Position & AlignPosition the working device around the designated casing on a suitable working platform.
STEP 02Clamp the CasingSecure the casing with the hydraulic clamping system before applying extraction force.
STEP 03Hydraulic Pull-OutLift the casing in controlled strokes while monitoring resistance and working conditions.
STEP 04Continue & CompleteRepeat as required and coordinate casing withdrawal with the approved construction sequence.

Typical uses: withdrawing temporary casing in cast-in-place piling, casing recovery following full casing drilling, and selected casing-removal operations in geotechnical construction. Tool suitability and achievable extraction loads depend on actual site conditions.

How to Select a DBG Pipe Puller

Choosing a DBG model is not simply a matter of selecting the largest pull-out force. Match the required casing diameter to the published extraction range first, then assess the casing length, ground friction, predicted extraction load, working-platform bearing capacity and available hydraulic power supply.

SMALLER CASING RANGE

DBG1300 / DBG1600Suitable for evaluating Ø600–1600 mm casing requirements within each model's specified range.

HIGHER FORCE

DBG2100Ø1000–2000 mm range with a published maximum pull-out force of 6000 kN.

LARGEST DBG MODEL

DBG2500Ø1200–2400 mm range and the highest published force of this four-model series: 8000 kN.

For model selection, provide SEMW with the casing outer diameter, wall thickness, planned embedment depth, soil report, extraction sequence and site power conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is the difference between a DBG pipe puller and a casing rotator?
A DBG pipe puller is intended primarily to grip and extract steel casing by hydraulic lifting force. A casing rotator uses rotary torque and vertical force to advance or remove casing during drilling. They perform related but different roles in foundation construction.
Q2. Which DBG model provides the highest casing extraction force?
DBG2500 has the highest maximum pull-out force listed in the supplied brochure, at 8000 kN. The best model still depends on casing diameter and anticipated ground resistance.
Q3. What is the casing range of the DBG2100?
The DBG2100 is specified for Ø1000–2000 mm casing extraction, with a maximum pull-out force of 6000 kN and a 160 mm clamping-cylinder stroke.
Q4. Do all DBG models use the same hydraulic power station?
No. DBG1300 and DBG1600 are listed with 55 kW motor power, while DBG2100 and DBG2500 are listed with 110 kW total motor power (55 kW × 2). All four list a system pressure of 30 MPa.
Q5. What site information should be shared before requesting a quotation?
Provide the casing dimensions, required withdrawal depth, geological conditions, estimated extraction resistance, construction sequence and electrical power availability. SEMW can assess the appropriate equipment configuration.
Discuss Your Casing Extraction Requirements
Send SEMW your casing diameter, ground conditions and required pulling force for equipment selection support. See the related DAG steel column implantation equipment for a separate foundation installation application.
