SEMW / HYDRAULIC PILE DRIVING RIG

SPR135 Hydraulic Pile Driving Rig

The SEMW SPR135 is a fully hydraulic, crawler-mounted, three-point-supported pile driving rig designed as a versatile carrier for pile hammers and suitable drilling attachments. Its 36 m standard leader and 136 t maximum permissible operating weight support demanding foundation works with a variety of pile dimensions and installation methods.

The rig combines a guided leader system, hydraulic winches, crawler mobility and configurable counterweights. Installation planning should consider the selected hammer or drilling tool, pile length, pile weight, ground bearing capacity and actual site access.

Equipment Advantages

01

Three-Point Leader Stability

Leader guidance and supporting struts help manage vertical alignment and stability during pile installation. Final working geometry depends on the configuration used.

02

Flexible Piling Configurations

Designed to work with appropriate diesel hammers and supported drilling equipment. Equipment compatibility must be verified against weight, length and load charts.

03

Hydraulic Winch Control

Main, auxiliary and third drum operating modes support lifting and positioning operations. A fourth drum is an available option rather than standard equipment.

04

Crawler-Mounted Mobility

Crawler travel and 40% gradeability for the basic machine support positioning across prepared construction sites subject to ground bearing and safety requirements.

05

36 m Standard Leader

A long standard leader provides working reach for larger pile installation tasks, with selected arrangements requiring engineering review.

06

Defined Operating Parameters

Clear engine, lifting, ground-contact and counterweight data help project teams evaluate transport, assembly and safe operating requirements.

Applications & Selection Guidance

Typical Foundation Applications

  • Driven pile foundations for commercial and industrial construction
  • Bridge foundations and civil infrastructure piling
  • Large foundation projects requiring guided pile positioning
  • Projects combining suitable hammer and drilling methods

What to Check Before Selecting SPR135

  • Pile type, section, weight and designed depth
  • Geotechnical profile and expected driving resistance
  • Hammer or drilling attachment type and suspended load
  • Working platform strength, access and site restrictions
  • Transport envelope, counterweight and assembly plan

The 136 t figure is the maximum permissible overall operating weight, not a rated single-hook lifting capacity. Confirm the complete attachment and load arrangement for each project.

Technical Information for Engineering Teams

The SPR135 uses a Volvo TAD851VE engine rated at 185 kW. Hydraulic winch control, crawler positioning and defined leader geometry provide the basis for equipment selection across different foundation methods.

Engineering review should address leader inclination, lateral loads, hammer suitability, pile-driving conditions, work platform capacity and machine stability. Not all attachments shown across the SPR Series are standard on the SPR135.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the standard leader length of the SPR135?

The standard leader length is 36 m. The effective pile-handling arrangement must be evaluated with the selected equipment and site geometry.

What are the basic machine and maximum operating weights?

The basic machine weighs 46.5 t. The maximum permissible operating weight is 136 t, which includes the relevant operating configuration rather than a single lifting load.

Can the SPR135 operate with different pile hammers?

It can support compatible hammer and piling configurations, subject to technical verification of combined equipment weight, pile dimensions, leader arrangement and allowable loads.

Is a fourth winch included?

The fourth drum winch is listed as an optional arrangement. Please confirm the actual supplied configuration before procurement.

What should be provided for technical selection?

Share the pile type and dimensions, geotechnical report, project working height, preferred hammer or drilling attachment, ground bearing capacity and intended foundation method.
